Soon after President
Kenyatta signed into law a bill seeking to control banks interest rates by capping
lending rates, Kenyans went online making fun of it with some even giving
suggestions on other notorious institutions/ companies that the president
should also “cut their horns”.
The funniest
was this from Wanjiku The Teacher Facebook page with President Uhuru allegedly “warning”
Safaricom C.E.O Bob Collymore to "stop exploiting Kenyans".

umeibia wakenya sana mkishirikiana na Sportpesa.. ata mia moja mnakata 22 bob? Omba
sana nisiletewe bill ya kuwakata pembe.. najua umeona news vile nilifanya
mabenki…”
(You also
have been stealing from Kenyans in conjunction with Sportpesa, even a hundred
shillings you charge 22 shillings? Pray hard that they don’t bring to me a
bill. I am sure you seen on the news how I dealt with the banks)
Well, that was just but a joke…. But don’t you think Kenyans are most creative and hilarious people on earth?
