DEPUTY PRINCIPAL INSULTS PARENT FOR USING BEANS TO PAY FEES

Many parents go through a lot of hustles and struggle to see their children study in school, with some giving out their farm produce to pay for school fees. However, some heartless teachers don’t seem to understand the hustles of those parents.
One Mr. Yegon, the deputy principal of Chebara Boys High School in Elgeiyo Marakwet was on Thursday accused of insulting a parent who had brought beans to the school as school fees for his son.
Toa hii vitu out of the school compound" (Take these things out of the school compound) he’s reported to have said, while referring to the farm produce that had been brought by the parent. The parent is said to have booked earlier in the year to deliver the stuff to the school.
It took the intervention of the school’s principal who ordered the parent be allowed to bring back the beans the following day.
Parents, alumnus and friends of the school condemned the incident on social media with some describing the teacher as arrogant. Here are some of the posts we came across.

What do you think about this incident?

  2. This matter may have been blown out of proportion. It would be good to hear the side of the school.
