Javelin champion Julius Yego was on Sunday evening involved in a tragic road
accident in Eldoret along Sukunanga- Annex road.
Yego, who was traveling alone at the time of the accident, sustained minor soft tissue
injuries and was rushed to Mediheal Hospital, Eldoret.
His colleague,
1500m champion Asbel Kiprop, broke the sad news moments after the incident.

Mr. Yego couldn’t hide his joy as he posted a
photo of the wreckage of his car saying that it was only his LIVING GOD who
saved his life. Thousands of his fans both in Kenyan and beyond took to social
media to wish the famous “YouTube athlete” a quick recovery.
